English Proficiency

English language proficiency is a critical component of success for students whose first language is not English. All undergraduate non-native speakers of English entering Indiana University are required to take an Indiana English Proficiency Exam (IEPE) prior to beginning their studies to identify any need for additional English language study. The IEPE is administered through the Office of International Services.
