SAT II Subject Test and Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate IUB Articulations

IUB awards equivalent course credit and credit hours for the scores noted in the charts for the SAT II Subject Test exams and College Board Advanced Placement (AP) exams and for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level (HL) exams. Not all SAT II Subject Test and AP and IB exams are accepted for courses/credit hours at IUB.

The designation of “-UN” indicates the credit has been awarded as “Undistributed” – not articulated to a specific, equivalent, IUB course.

Earning course credit and credit hours with SAT II Subject Test and AP and IB exams is considered the equivalent of completing the course at IU for the purposes of completing a degree requirement. However, in some cases, (such as with the undergraduate programs in the IU School of Medicine or in some graduate medical school programs) SAT II Subject or AP or IB courses may not be accepted to fulfill admission prerequisites. In addition, some SAT II Subject or AP or IB courses may not be the best preparation for subsequent courses in the major concentration at IUB or for professional school admissions tests such as the MCAT, DAT, and LSAT).
