THE UD ADVANTAGE

University Division (UD) is an ideal gateway for undergraduate students as they begin their academic careers at IU Bloomington (IUB).  UD advisors have in-depth knowledge of the essential degree requirements for all of the undergraduate majors and minors in all schools on the campus, allowing them to work flexibly and creatively with students of wide-ranging interests. Their comprehensive understanding of IUB’s many academic options allows them to help students compare and evaluate a full range of majors and minors in order to choose the academic path that is best for them.

University Division advisors also draw upon decades of collective experience in supporting first and second year students as they meet the challenges that can affect their academic success and grow to be independent decision makers. UD advisors are comfortable in talking with students about their concerns and are confident in referring them to the many campus resources that can help.
